Comprehensive Community Service (CCS)
What is CCS?
Comprehensive Community Service is a short-term program focusing on child and adult mental health by connecting them to community-based resources through goal-based one-on-one mentorship. The program is a collaborative approach working with therapists, schools, social workers, and other community supports. We focus on helping individuals work on treatment goals to allow self management of their physical and mental health in a safe and supportive environment.
Our Support
Following our motto "Doing the Right Things for the Right Reasons", we work to build supportive and trusting relationships that allow key emotional and functional skill development. Working with the support team and member, we follow a comprehensive recovery plan highlighting areas in need of development.
Daily Living Skills
Our Mentors focus on working towards functional everyday skills. We offer skill development in Personal Care, Household Chores, Vocational Support, Educational Support, Transport and Shopping, as well as Financial Literacy and management.
Behavioral & Emotional Regulation
We focus on providing support with emotional difficulties through coping mechanism development. We focus on providing and practicing technique and boundaries to allow for self regulation in positive manners.
Social Skills
Social Skill Training focuses on the ability to recognize difference in communication. We work to build self confidence and advocacy in order to foster healthy relationships and conflict resolution skills.
